Detailed arrival, parking and shuttle information

Dearest friends,

The Europe Center site is amazingly beautiful but it does have its limitations. Due to its historical and environmental significance, and in order to protect the surrounding landscape, the Europe Center and the local government have agreed on some restrictions. During the entire course no cars will be able drive to the site; we will provide you with a comfortable shuttle service to keep you mobile and happy.

Important:

  • No cars or motorbikes will be allowed on the EC property during the course.
  • Please park only at our car park, P3 Viehmarktplatz, in Immenstadt (Algau).
  • During transmission lectures and initiations:
    • Full shuttle service will be provided up until 30 minutes before the scheduled start of these sessions;
    • reduced service will be provided during these sessions.

  • Dear parents, please bring along your children’s car safety seats. You can store them in the luggage tent during the course.

P3 VIEHMARKTPLATZ main car park and shuttle bus stop

P3 is for:

  • Those who come to the course with their own car.
  • People arriving by train at the Immenstadt train station (250 meters from our shuttle bus at P3).
  • Airline passengers who reach P3 by taxi or train.
  • People commuting from work, home, hotels or pensions etc. in the area.
  • Buses organized by countries and centers. (These buses will be guided up to the EC. You will exit your bus at the EC in front of the Welcome and Registration tent. Please let us know when you will arrive.)

Welcome to P3, Viehmarktplatz:

  • In case of bad weather you can store your luggage in the Welcome tent while waiting for a shuttle bus.
  • You can relax here with water, tea or coffee.
  • We will provide you with basic information about the course, the shuttle service schedule and the surrounding area.
  • There are also toilets at the P3 parking lot.

OUR SHUTTLE SERVICE

  • Will pick you up after your arrival at P3 every day.
  • Will take you back to P3 every day.
  • At night (2 a.m. until 7 a.m.) there is no shuttle service.
  • Parents should bring along their children’s car safety seats.

Arrival at the EC before the course:

    Small shuttle buses will run from Friday the 22nd of July, 2011 until Monday the 15th of August, 2011.Starting on the 22nd of July, 2011 the road to the EC will be closed. We recommend that you park your car at the P3 parking lot in the town of Immenstadt. Please call the shuttle phone 20 minutes before you arrive.

PRICES FOR PARKING AND SHUTTLE

  • For your first arrival and final departure from the course the shuttle service will be free of charge.
  • The price for all other trips with the shuttle service, whether in a large bus or an 8 seat bus, is € 1 per person per direction.
  • Parking at P3 is free of charge.

Schedule:

Shuttles will run every day from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., whenever needed: large buses before and after the program according to the schedule below, eight seat buses during the day.

During the transmission lectures we will offer a reduced service. During initiations we will offer no service. The reduction in service will start 30 minutes before the session and continue until the session has ended.

For disabled people a pick-up service will leave from the Welcome tent for the Gompa 15 minutes before the lecture and return 15 minutes after it ends. We will stop at the Welcome, Dining, and Gompa tents.

Between 2:00 a.m. and 07:00 a.m. there will be no shuttle service; please arrive and leave before 02:00 a.m. or after 07:00 a.m.
